Exercise 8

Idea:
Can be a block tracker. When you are near someone else with a block, they both vibrate, notifying you that someone that has a block is nearby.

Alarm - can play a single note, vibrate and have lights. perfect for alarm (vibrate if on silent, play note if not) light for night use?

Exercise 6

Revisiting Some Old Questions: Were you able to complete the tasks? If yes, was it difficult? If no, why not?  How easy was it to identify the buttons?  Did the buttons do what you expected them to do?  How easy was it to use?  Rewording: 1. If you were able to complete the tasks, how difficult did you find it? If not, why were you unable to complete the task? 2. On a scale of 1-5 how easy was it to identify the buttons, with 5 being the easiest 3. When you pressed the buttons, did the buttons produce the effect that you thought it will? 4. On a scale of 1-5, how easy was it to use the device overall?

Video Prototype

For the video prototype, I decided to do some sort of animation with a voice over. As I am inexperienced, I decided to go with a simple animation. My concept was earphones or headphones that adjust themselves by either playing white noise or isolating external sounds when the surroundings reached a certain noise level. They would also double up as earphones/headphones for playing music. I believe that my idea comes under augmenting everyday life as it enhances the life of people who are sensitive to changes in sounds. Some examples of uses would be in train stations when the train goes by or in another public area.
